Cedaron was founded in 1990 by Dr. Malcolm Bond, Karen Bond and Gary Engle. We started with a NASA Small Business Innovation Research Grant and a vision to greatly improve specialty outcomes documentation. We combined our medical, technical and marketing experience to create leading-edge products for rehab, cardiology and workers compensation for global clients ranging from large healthcare institutions to solo provider practices.

 

Before Cedaron, the Bond’s founded a successful isokinetics equipment and software company which Inc. Magazine twice named as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States.

Karen Bond

CEO and Founder

 

Karen’s career in medical sales and administration spans more than 30 years, beginning with Smith-Kline Beckman (GlaxoSmithKline) in 1977. At GlaxoSmithKline, she served as the Worldwide Medical Sales Manager for the medical imaging division. In 1985, she joined Loredan Biomedical, a manufacturer of computerized physical therapy equipment, as Vice President of World Wide Sales. She later became President.

 

As CEO of Cedaron since 1990, when she co-founded the company with Malcolm Bond and Gary Engle, Karen has lead the company’s exceptional growth, market expansion and product innovation. She earned a Bachelor of Art Degree from West Virginia University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Malcolm Bond PH.D

Chief Scientist and Founder

 

Malcolm has more than 30 years experience in the medical industry and is a leading innovator in medical technology and software. In 1980, he founded Loredan Biomedical, Inc., a manufacturer of computerized physical therapy equipment. He built the company into a $25 million organization in four years and one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. It was named one of Inc. Magazine’s ‘500 fastest growing private companies in the US’ both in 1989 and 1990.

 

Malcolm holds several patents for rehabilitation system designs and outcomes management. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of California, Irvine. He has a Ph.D. in Physiology from University of California, Davis and has done Post Doctorate research at the University of Padova, Italy (The National Muscle Disease Research Center). He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University College, London, England.

Gary Engle

Vice President of R&D and Founder

 

Gary has more than 25 years of experience in all phases of electronic and system design. He served as the Systems Engineering Manager for General Electric Medical Systems for six years and was the Lead Electronics Engineer at KLA Instruments Corporation for two years. In 1988, He joined Loredan Biomedical as the Senior Electronics Engineer for three years and later co-founded Cedaron Medical. Gary holds seven digital scan-conversion patents, as well as several patents for the design of rehabilitation systems. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento.

Susan Fletcher

Controller

 

Susan Fletcher has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting.  Most recently, she was Vice President of Finance/ Controller for EnviroFinance Group LLC in Sacramento, a specialty finance start-up which evolved into a real estate development company.  Susan has held several financial positions for real estate related ventures, including 11 years as a Regional Controller for McDonald’s Corporation.

 

During her time with McDonald’s, she managed the budget and income statement for 260 restaurants with $400 million in sales and $40 million in profit.  In addition, her duties included restaurant valuations, analysis of new real estate sites, rebuilds and relocations and franchisee relations.  Susan earned accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Missouri in 1989.  She has a Master of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Kansas as well as a Bachelor’s in Finance from Kansas State University.

Carmen Marsh

Chief Operating Officer

 

Carmen’s international leadership acumen comes from leading global teams, projects, programs and companies in high-tech, retail, insurance and health care industries. Her career started in Silicon Valley, managing Jumbotron implementations for Sony Incorporated, and continued with IT management roles for dot.coms, including established companies such as SRI International, Trimble, USC Norris and CMA. She has been contributing to successes of companies for 20 years, with her genuine passion for continuous process improvements, coupled with focus on organizational efficiency and effectiveness. She is bringing to Cedaron her visionary, forward-focused, resilient, and intuitive business leadership. Carmen has earned a degree from University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and completed several management programs at Sorbonne University, and UC Davis.

Lucas Collins

Customer Service Director

 

Lucas has been working in advanced roles with computer software companies for over seven years. He has extensive experience in the field of IT support. Prior to joining Cedaron, Lucas was head of logistics for a support team serving the U.S. Forest Service with computers and software used in fighting fires. His excellent communication skills make him an asset in handling and supporting customers. He applies his expertise and customer support to solve customer issues and problems in a professional and effective manner.

 

He leads by example and is a great motivator of people. Lucas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Sonoma State University and has completed several continuing education seminars and software courses at the University of California, Davis.

Sarah C. Kennedy

Director of Sales and Marketing

 

Sarah Kennedy has 15 years of sales and marketing experience; specializing in relationship and distributor management, sales management, and marketing.  She spent many years in the CPG industry effectively leading sales teams to achieve their annual financial goals, as well as delivering successful quota attainment.  She has a passion for bringing products effectively to market, supplying high level solutions, and delivering excellent customer service. Her determination and work ethic has made her seamless transition to the healthcare & software industry in 2015 a tremendous success.   She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major degree in Economics with a Business Emphasis and International Spanish for the Professions.
